We are so excited to announce that our collaboration with Dr. Kristina Scharp from the Family Communication Lab was funded! For this project, we will gather stories from hearing parents of deaf children who chose to implant their children during infancy. We will use this information help us understand how the stories parents tell about their experiences both reflect and contribute to their health and wellbeing. These data will help us work toward our long-term goal of developing family centered intervention programs that ultimately improve these families’ communication and functioning.
